Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you offer scholarships?

  • Yes! Scholarships are currently offered on a case-by-case basis. If you need assistance or reduced tuition, please reach out to Lesley at lesley@beehivenw.com

What is your cancellation policy?

  • We understand that family schedules change and unexpected events occur. We do our best to accommodate schedule changes and cancellations in our programming while maintaining a sustainable business model. Credits and refunds vary by program type. For full details, please review our cancellation policy below in our Policies Section

I’ve already registered, and something’s come up.  Is it possible to give our spot to someone else and not charge us?**

  • While we can’t issue a refund, we can get you set up with a credit. The credit can be used towards future After School programming, or any of our other programs such as a full-day No School Day Adventure. How that works is we'll note it on your account, and the next time you submit an enrollment request (including a different day of the week during the same timeframe!), we'll apply it towards the balance when we process your request. For example, if a space opens up on Tuesdays, it could be rolled over to cover that cost!

  • Students can be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. and picked up at 3:30 p.m.

What time is pickup for afterschool programming?

  • Staff pick up students from school at their school’s release time. Parents are able to pick up their children any time after that until 6pm.

What if I am late picking up my child?

  • Staff will call you to ask what your current location is just before 6:00 p.m. After 6:05 p.m., parents will be charged $1/minute to compensate for staff time.

Where can I find Lost and Found items?

  • Check first with the instructors for your child’s program. If the item is not found by them onsite at the program, the instructors will check our lost and found bin and facilitate its return.

  • For items not found right away, email info@beehivenw.com with a detailed description of the lost item and we will keep an eye out. If found, we will respond to your email with instructions on how to pick up the item.

Is it possible to attend only a day or two over Winter or Spring Break or would I need to sign up for the whole week?

  • Yes, for Winter Break you can sign up for individual days or the full week! The only difference is that we offer a discount for whole week signups.

  • Many of our programs are transported so we can spend the day exploring amazing places. We lease our buses  from the same providers that charter with local school districts. All of our drivers have their commercial drivers license.

Environmental Conditions Policy

While program cancellations due to severe environmental conditions are a rare occurrence, they do happen occasionally. We do everything that we can to avoid it, but at times we must make the hard decision to cancel a program due to safety, such as extreme heat or poor air quality. If we cancel a program due to such conditions, we make every effort to reschedule or move your camper to a future program. If we cannot reschedule, you may elect to receive a full credit toward future programming.

Low Enrollment Cancellation

If a program’s enrollment drops below the minimum enrollment requirement, we will need to cancel programming until enrollment increases again. We will do our best to prevent this from happening, and the word of mouth you spread greatly supports us in this endeavor! If we do need to cancel due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund and we will provide at least 2 weeks notice.

Missing Programming due to COVID:

If you or your child has to miss programming because they are ill with COVID or are in quarantine due to exposure, we unfortunately cannot provide a refund or credit. We wish your family a smooth and quick recovery, and thank you for staying home during that time.
